Course Overview
Successful learners will attain the practical competencies needed to safely use an AED and perform BLS interventions on adults, children and infants in a clinical setting.
- Conducting a scene survey
- Conducting a primary survey on an adult, child and infant
- Identifying when to administer CPR
- Demonstrating CPR using adult, child, andinfant manikins
- Demonstrating safe use of an AED on anadult, child, and infant
- Considerations when administering CPRand using an AED
- When to place a casualty in the recovery position
- How to place an adult, child, and infant inthe recovery position
- Continually monitoring breathing whilst in the recovery position
- Demonstrating techniques for choking
This course can be extended and Anaphylaxis management added.
This certificate is valid for 1 year.
